You may be thinking what is the fuss about having home insurance. Some they will try save little money per month and not have one of their best asset insured. This is a recepe for dissaster, especially if you live in an area prone to flodds, fire, storms or land slides. 1. You should have your home insured from day one you move in. Don’t wait for few weeks or even months until you decide you take a home insurance. You simply can not predict when something can happen. And the saying that this will not happen to me but only for others will get you into financial trouble.

2. Before you take into a policy cover you may want to ask an appraisal how much your house is worth. Now, you don’t wan too pay too much or too little house insurance which whne you need it it doesn’t cover your losses. Although, if your house is not worth that much, it is a pitty to pay an expensive home insurance policy.

3. Learn more about the area before buying into a house. This is something basic, off course. Is the area prone to crime and theft, to flooding or to fire? If the risk is high definetly you insurance policy will go up.

4. Besides the home insurance for the damage to the building, you may want also for the content inside your house. This is more true if you have valuables inside your house, like expensive furniture and electronics, as well as if you live in area renown for theft. A good thing to do to lower your policy is to install an alarming system.
